Butterflies That Live The Longest Time.

Hi Again, Today I am posting butterflies that live the longest lives, or actually overwinter as fully grown adults. There are only 3 Butterflies that overwinter as fully grown adults and flew last fall in our area. The species are: Mourning Cloak, Eastern Comma and Question Mark butterflies. Some other species do hatch and overwinter as a pupa of sorts, although most overwinter as only eggs. I will post some showing the more cold weather shots as well as more summary backgrounds. When you look at the pictures you can tell the difference  in seasons easily. Have a great day, Denis
