One Of Our Earlier Butterflies To Emerge-The Eastern Tailed Blue

Hi again, It has been warming up around here in the last couple of days from near zero at dawn to the teens and twenties for our coldest period. Now we are up to the thirties, or not exactly butterfly weather, although not too far off in the end of next month. In a couple of days it will be the 'Infamous Groundhog Day', with all of the press going gaa-gaa on Chuckie and his predictions. Predictions, yes as there are quite a few predictor chucks around lately. The butterfly that is today's choice is our small and beautiful Eastern Tailed Blue, that is basically nickle sized if laying on the coin. I usually find these early ones near streams with sandy or muddy areas nearby. Here is a handful of pix for your to view. Have a great day, Denis
